Wired for better sound

I just received my new Zoom H4n portable recorder on Friday and I've been sussing it out over the weekend. I bought the Zoom after coming to the conclusion that the sound capabilities of the Canon 5D Mark 11 were not up to scratch for professional usage due to it's auto-leveling, mini jack and lack of monitoring capabilities. The choice of the Zoom came from another recommendation from the Philip Bloom website, which offers so many fantastic tips for shooting video on DSLR's cameras. If you're shooting video with DSLR's then you have to check out this website.
Anyway, I've got the Zoom working and I'm impressed with it's versatility, functionality and the quality of audio it produces for the price (around AU$450 if you shop around online). Next I need to do some tests with another one of Philip Bloom's recommendation Pluraleyes, which automatically synchronizes all your audio and video clips without the need for timecode or clappers in post production. Pluraleyes almost sounds too good to true, so I'm eager to run some tests this week to see if it works as they say. For anyone interested in trying the software too there's a fully functional 30 day trial version of the Pluraleyes software available on their website.
