Silver Bullet for Grading

Posted by Matt Hopper, 9 March 2010 20:03

I've just started working on the edit for my next film on Nathan Jurevicius of Scarygirl fame. Normally I don't start looking at grading any of the footage until we've locked off the pictures, but I couldn't help having a play with Magic Bullets Looks which is a new program to the studio. Normally we do all our video grading in After Fx and more recently in Final Cut Pro's Color, but Looks is just such a intuitive and quick alternative, which is perfect for a working studio with a lot of video projects coming through the door. I might have been a little heavy-handed with the grade below, but I think you can get the idea of exactly how fun and quick the Magic Bullet program is to use!
